Analysis tools for Physios

The Video Coach guide to using our Dartfish software to help your patients and boost your business

Dartfish software has key features which will all help with the diagnosis and treatment of patients for both physiotherapists and podiatrists

In the action:

Allows you to give instant feedback to patients, interrupting poor postural habits or faulty movement patterns early in the rehabilitation process breaking the cycle of recurring injuries.

In the action allows the clinician to quantify what they can see, therefore, exactly measuring a patients condition and then their progress through the course of treatments.

The patient can instantly see exactly what they are doing that caused the injury or led to pain. The therapist can then show the patients what positions they need to be in and highlight certain areas that need to be focussed on. This speeds up treatment time because the patient can see what they need to do and immediately understand it rather than try to understand lengthy biomechanical explanations.

 Analyser

The analyser helps you to analyse your patients movement patterns in detail.

Compare up to four movements at once either one patient improving over 4 sessions or comparison of a good movement pattern against movement patterns that may cause problems (or are all ready causing problems)

You can track joints, limbs, the spine etc through their range of motion allowing you to identify, measure and find the cause of faulty movement patterns that are causing the pain or injury.

The software can automatically track angles, alignment and trajectory of joints, limbs etc which quantifies a diagnosis. This gives you and the patient a clear starting point from which the rehabilitation process can be measured. All improvements, no matter how intricate, are then measured to maintain the motivation of your patients to carry on with their treatment sessions with you. It increases your patients adherence to a rehabilitation programme in-between treatments because they know that they are improving, they understand exactly what they have to do and why they have to do it.

 Simulcam

This allows you to see a high quality image of a movement on top of another image so you can easily compare good dynamic postures vs poor dynamic postures or pre treatment vs post treatment.

 Stromotion

Stro motion breaks a technique or movement up into phases so you can pin point what positions muscles and joints are in at different phases of a movement so you can see what is causing the injury and what needs to be done to correct it.

 Mediabooks

Your patients analysis can be emailed, burnt onto a CD/DVD or your patients can be given their own username and password to view their analysis via the internet.

During a course of treatments, it is vital that a patient can constantly see what has happened to cause the injury, what they need to do to help speed up the rehabilitation process and what happens if they don’t follow your recommendations. It is vital because it leads to a successful treatment for you and the patient. The quicker a patient is healed, the more recommendations of you they will give.

Aftercare is just as vital to prevent the injury from recurring and from a business perspective to keep your expertise at the forefront of your patients minds for refferals. Giving your patient a DVD of their progress with you and some rehabilitation exercises is a great way to help prevent the injury from recurring and to promote your clinic.
